Our gala this year was held on a typical November day, with beautiful sunny intervals bringing out the Autumn colours to produce some wonderful photographic opportunities, or if you got it wrong you just got grey and wet!
This year we went for an "in house" gala kicking off with a very bright and shiny new looking 20 118 & the DDS's D6737. Then came 20 110, sporting it's early Scottish blue livery, as it was one of the few 20s to carry it. Next came 'rat' D7612, follwed by our new toy 33 002. Last in the line up was the bubblecar 55000.
There are appeared to be lots of happy enthusiasts about and all went smoothly apart from a glitch in D7637's electric fan clutch, causing it to overheat on it's last trip. Consequently it was piloted from Staverton with D7612 just to make sure no permanent damage was done.
As usual many thanks to both staff and fare paying enthusiasts alike for making this an enjoyable day and getting gronk 09 002 another step nearer completion.
